Program Developer (or Program Developer Assistant)

About DCINY:
Distinguished Concerts International New York produces world-class choral and orchestral concerts at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. Our mission: Changing Lives through the Power of Performance.

The Role:
We’re seeking a music-savvy professional to join our team as a Program Developer or a Program Developer Assistant, ready to grow into the role. You’ll be the vital connection between DCINY and performing ensembles worldwide, researching and engaging choral directors, instrumental conductors, and ensemble administrators to participate in our concert series. This is a relationship-driven, quota-based position for someone who deeply understands the transformative power of performing at the world’s greatest venues.

What You’ll Do:

  • Connect DCINY performance opportunities with ensembles globally through research, phone outreach, and written communication
  • Build and develop programming with ensemble directors, guest conductors, and performing artists
  • Maintain client relationships and accurate records in Salesforce CRM
  • Provide information to clients about concert seasons and company offerings
  • Occasional evening/weekend availability for concerts

What We’re Looking For:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in music, music administration, arts management, or related field

Experience: 1-2+ years in client relations, program development, or ensemble administration (for Developer role); entry-level considered for Assistant position

Background We Value: Experience traveling with performing ensembles; firsthand understanding of the life-changing impact of performing at a prestigious hall like Carnegie Hall or Lincoln Center; knowledge of the choral/instrumental world from an administrative or organizational perspective

Essential Skills: Outstanding communication, active listening, and relationship-building; comfort with phones and client-facing interaction; excellent organization and attention to detail; ability to work independently and meet performance goals

Technical: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce (or willingness to learn)

Compensation:
$35,000 – $42,000 based on experience plus a robust opportunity for commissions/bonus for those on a sales track.  Full medical benefits, PTO and 401K matching.
