Cantatekoor Wageningen
Marjon van der Linden
Marjon van der Linden, conductor of Cantatekoor Wageningen, studied conducting at the Utrecht Conservatory and singing under Dobrinka Yankova. In addition to conducting the Cantatekoor Wageningen, she also conducts the Sweelinck Chamber Choir in Apeldoorn. She is the artistic director of the Ars Musica Choir School, which she founded in 2008, and the Ars Musica Girls Choir, which she founded in 2012. She sings in the professional Ars Musica Chamber Choir and is a soloist with several other choirs. In addition to her singing and conducting, Marjon also teaches conducting, singing and flute.

In 1964, a number of singers joined together to form Cantatekoor Wageningen. Marjon van der Linden has been the conductor of the Cantatekoor since September 2009. Under her guidance, the choir gives two concerts a year. The repertoire varies from choral works by Bach and Mozart to works that are rarely performed in the Netherlands by composers such as Charpentier and Distler. The performance of Martín Palmeri’s Misa a Buenos Aires in 2009 was a highlight, as was the jubilee concert in 2014 when the choir sang the Chichester Psalms (in Hebrew) by Leonard Bernstein.

La Brénadienne, Brunoy, France
Denis Thuillier
Denis Thuillier received early vocal training at the ACJ la Brénadienne choir, he then studied piano and music theory, and went on to study conducting under the Marianne Guengard at the Paris Conservatory. He has trained with renowned conductors. Denis has been a professional conductor since 2004. He currently conducts several youth and adult choirs and is regularly invited to lead choral workshops and training sessions for choir directors, in France and internationally. He is passionate about teaching vocal groups a wide variety of musical styles, and approaches each new repertoire with equal pleasure, be it classical, gospel, folk.

The Brénadienne was founded in 1973 and experienced rapid development. Beginning with 20 adults, today it has over 200 members, divided into 6 different choirs. The Brénadienne is affiliated with ACJ Choralies a worldwide movement. Repertoires include secular, folk and sacred music as well as operettas and original musical creations. The Mixed Choir, under the baton of Denis Thuillier, is the largest in the Brénadienne family. A second group, the Chorale Ensemble brings together both amateur and experienced voices under the direction of Xavier Stouff. In January 2015, the Brénadienne, twice presented Martin Palmeri’s Misatango in the greater Paris area.

Choeur régional Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur
Michel Piquemal
Michel Piquemal specialized himself in French Melody with Denise Duval and Pierre Bernac. Well-known as baritone, he found his own professional choir l’Ensemble Vocal Michel Piquemal in 1978. From 1985 to 1994 he taught at Paris National Conservatory of Music (CNSMDP). Since 1989, he has conducted the Choeur regional Vittoria d’Ile de France and the Choeur regional Provence Alpes Cote d’Azur. His various discography includes recordings as a baritone and as a conductor. He won Classical Music Victories in 1996, and again in 1998. His recording with the Choeur regional PACA of Tomasi’s Requiem is known as a reference.

The Chœur regional Provence-Alpes Côte d’Azur was created in 1989 by Michel Piquemal - its founder and artistic director since then. The choir is composed of around one-hundred non-professional singers, who give about 15 concerts every year with 8 different programs. They often perform with prestigious orchestras like Monte-Carlo’s or Cannes’s Philharmonics, but they also organize their own concert with professional musicians. In its repertoire, the Choeur Regional PACA has works from unknown composers, such as Martial Caillebotte or Henri Tomasi, but also the most widespread classical pieces like Mozart or Faure’s Requiem.

Collegium Musicum Vocale Darmstadt/Vocal Ensemble Frankfurt
Monika Goesswein-Wobbe
Monika Gößwein-Wobbe studied music education for secondary school, musicology and choir conducting at Musikhochschule Frankfurt with Helmuth Rilling, Uwe Gronostay, and Wolfgang Schäfer. She completed multiple international master classes with Eric Ericson, Lazlo Heltay, Volker Hempfling and others. She has been working as a choir conductor for adult and children choirs in the Frankfurt area including the two performing choirs: Collegium Musicum Vocale Darmstadt and Vocal Ensemble Frankfurt. Her specialty is a-cappella music as well as grand oratorial works. She herself is singing in semi-professional choir ensembles.

The performing group consists of members of two Frankfurt area choirs - Collegium Musicum Vocale Darmstadt and Vocal Ensemble Frankfurt. Both are amature choirs with a history of challenging performances. Their large repertoire includes works from renaissance to contemporary music, both sacred and secular, cappella as well as accompanied by orchestra.

Soledad Gonzalía
Soledad Gonzalia studied and finished Music Education and Piano at Luis Gianneo Conservatory, Mar del Plata city and currently is studying Choral Direction in Tandil city. With twenty years of experience in choral direction work ahead of Biochemical Choir, Opera Mar del Plata City Choir, U.N.D.M.P Children's Choir, Day School Children's Choir, Coral Municipal Cármina Choir and currently Coral Polyphonic Choir. Worked with many directors as Carlos Vieu , Mario Perusso and Guillermo Becerra; made symphonic choral, opera and Latin American music. Directed Misa Criolla with Jairo and Zamba Quipildor and worked with Teatro Colon of Buenos Aires Soloists and prominent national figures.

Pablo J Quinteros
Choral Conductor, singer and musical arranger, he studied choral direction on the “Conservatorio Provincial Juan José Castro” of Buenos Aires, orchestral conducting with Mtro. Jorge Fontenla, opera conducting with Mtro. Antonio Russo, singing with Maestros Ricardo Catena and Ricardo Yost, composition and arrangements with Juan “Pollo” Raffo. Artistic Director of the “Programa COROS PORTEÑOS”, from the Cultural Promotion Departament, Culture Ministry of Buenos Aires City Government, dedicated to the promotion of the socio-cultural life of Buenos Aires city through choral music. Under this special program, he conducts the “Choir of Employees of Buenos Aires City Government” and the “Agrupación Coral Porteña”. As choral director and arranger, he leds the ITMC CHOIR, CORAL ALMAVIVA, Cheek to Chicks! and VOCAL A LA CARTA.

Coro del ITMC- Instituto Tecnológico de Música Contemporánea The ITMC choir was born as an study ensamble, form by the students of the singing career and another musicians of the school. Was created in 2009 and directed by Mtro. Pablo Quinteros, and it has performed concerts in many Halls and theaters of Buenos Aires City. Actually 25 singers participates in the “Argentinian Proyect”, a repertoire of argentinian composers (Piazzola, Moruja, Palmeri, etc).

Steve Dunn
Born in England in 1970, Steve Dunn moved to Geneva, Switzerland in 1981 where he studied conducting at the Conservatoire Supérieur principally with Michel Corboz whose assistant he later became. He has conducted the Norwegian Choir of Geneva since 1996, the Ensemble Vocal de Neuchâtel since 2001, La Psallette de Genève since 2010 as well the adult and children’s choirs at Ste-Thérèse Church, Geneva. Steve’s repertoire includes classics like Messiah but also music by contemporary composers like Arvo Pärt and Giya Kancheli, works commissioned by his choirs and “crossover” pieces like Misa Pacha Mama by Bolivian composer Juan Arnez.

The Ensemble Vocal de Neuchatel was founded in 1980. It is composed of about 40 serious amateur singers who rehearse once a week and at week-ends before concerts. The repertoire of the choir spans from the Renaissance up to the contemporary musical world. For example The Passion according to Luke by G.Ph. Telemann, the Chandos Anthems by G.F. Händel or the Requiem by K. Jenkins. The Ensemble performs one or two concerts a year. In addition to Neuchatel and Geneva, the choir has also sung in Holland, France, Italy and now in America.

Oxford Hills Chamber Choir
Dennis Boyd Jr
Dennis Boyd Jr. is entering his 9th year teaching, currently serving as the Director of Choirs for Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School and Middle School in South Paris, Maine. Mr. Boyd earned his Bachelor of Music degree under the direction of Dr. Dennis Cox and Ludlow Hallman at the University of Maine. Mr. Boyd serves as President-Elect of the Maine Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association and as Vice President for Choral Music in the Maine Music Educators Association (MMEA).

The OHCHS Chamber Choir was formed in 2009 under Dennis Boyd Jr, and serves as the advanced studies course for choral music at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. The program has a strong 50 year history, having only had two previous directors in that time, Cynthia Wescott and Sarah Bailey. The OHCHS Chamber Choir performs frequently throughout the school year and has been invited to perform at the Maine State House, MMEA All-State Music Festival, and Masterworks Festivals. The OHCHS Chamber Choir could not do any of this without the immense support of the administration of the District and the community.

Portland Community Chorus

The Portland Community Chorus has a heritage dating back to the 1950s and 1960s, when it performed with the Portland Symphony Orchestra. The group was incorporated as a non-profit organization in the early 1980s. The group has expanded steadily over the last 20 years, and now consists of over 150 singers as annual members. Besides its annual concert schedule, the PCC serves as the core group for the Portland Symphony Orchestra's Magic of Christmas Chorus, a Maine tradition since 1980. PCC presents musical programs to area nursing, assisted-living and group homes in an active Outreach program.and group homes in an active Outreach program.

Danuta Chmurska
Ms. Danuta Chmurska, graduate of Slavic Studies at Warsaw University and Postgraduate Choral Conducting Studies at the University of Bydgoszcz. Since childhood related to Polish National Opera in Warsaw. Initially as choir member, then as assistant to R.Miazgia, since 1981 to date musical pedagogue preparing children parts to opera, oratory and balet spectacles including Turandot, La Boheme, Carmen, Boris Godunv, King Roger, Woyzeck, Nutcracker. Cooperated with the best Polish conductors including J.Kaspszyk, T.Wojciechowski, A.Straszynski, T.Radziwonowicz, G.Chmura. Her greatest choral achievements include Mozart's Requiem and Coronation Mass, G.B.Pergolesi's Stabat Mater and children parts at Symphony of a Thousand by Mahler.

Artos Choir is heir of Choir established under the same name in 1945 by the grand solists of The Polish Grand Theatre- National Opera Wladyslaw Skoraczewski. We are aiming to promote musical belle artes across generations in an accessible format via 3 groups of kids, teenagers and adults totalling 150 artists. Our strong cultural track record allows us to enjoy loyal and increasing number of dedicated followers. We were honored to sing choral parts at some of the selected, most prestigious events held in Poland. On January 3, 2016 choir performed its first proprietary full time Opera Bajko gdzie jestes?.

Hermann Kruse
Hermann Kruse, born 1966, studied Music and English at the University of Dortmund and has worked as a choirmaster since 1985. His teachers, among others, were: Helmuth Rilling, Petr Eben, Michael Kibblewhite, Eric Ericson and former members of the King's Singers. Kruse repeatedly won several prizes at composition competitions. His repertoire now includes over sixty oratorical works from Bach to McCartney. From 2004 - 2011 he took a teaching position in choral conducting at the University of Dortmund.

The Choir of the University of Duisburg-Essen is a successful amateur choir for over 25 years with currently 140 singers. Since 2001 Hermann Kruse leads the choir. Contrasting programs like "University Choir Goes Latin", a musical program, the Brahms Requiem, Bernstein’s Candide, the Rutter Requiem, Carmina Burana by Carl Orff, Beethoven’s 9th Symphony. "A Proms Night" in 2012, a “Caribbean Mass" or extraordinary projects such a live performance to the movie “Pirates of the Caribbean 2” show the variety of the choir.

The Concert Choir Unna (Konzertchor Unna) was founded in 1837 and plays an important role in the musical life of the city of Unna. Since 2006 the choir is led by Hermann Kruse. The choir currently consists of more than 85 active singers. The repertoire includes works of all classical oratorio literature of J.S. Bach to Orff. Under Hermann Kruse were performed in recent years preferred contemporary choral works, including John Rutter (Magnifica), Paul McCartney (Ecce cor meum), Leonard Bernstein (Candide), Misa Tango by Martín Palmeri, the Caribbean Mass by Glenn McClure and Mirror of Perfection by Richard Blackford.

Richard Nickerson
Richard Nickerson has been Director of Choral Activities at WIndham High School in Windham, Maine for the past 29 years. He is also Minister of Music at North Windham Union Church. In constant demand as a guest conductor and clinician, he has made guest appearances in 18 states, 4 Canadian provinces and 8 European countries. He has conducted in major concert venues throughout the world, making his Carnegie Hall debut in 1998. He served for 8 seasons (2007-2014), as the conductor of the "Magic of Christmas" Chorus with the Portland Symphony Orchestra. He also spent 8 years (2001-2009), as the Artistic Director of the Boy Singers of Maine. His choirs have performed for numerous dignitaries, including 3 U.S. Presidents. Dr. Nickerson has received numerous awards including Maine Music Educator of the Year, Maine Distinguished Choral Director of the Year and runner up for the Maine Teacher of the year. In January, 2009, he was recognized by Choral Director Magazine as one of 10 "Choral Directors of Note" in the United States. In April, 2013, he was named as a quarter finalist for the first ever Music Educator Grammy Award. He has held numerous professional offices including 2 terms as President of the Maine chapter of the American Choral Directors Association. Nickerson received a Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Music Education, the Master of Music in Choral Conducting from the University of Maine and the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Choral Conducting from the Conservatory of Music - University of Missouri - Kansas City. He lives in Windham, Maine with his wife, Linda. He is the proud "papa" of twin daughters, Sarah, a student at St. Michael's College in Vermont and Arianna, a student at St. Joseph's college in Standish, Maine and stepfather to Ben and Laura.

The Windham Chamber Singers gained international attention in 1996 by winning the Prize of Vienna at the 25th International Youth and Music Festival in Vienna, Austria. Their accomplishments have been recognized on the NBC Nightly News and National Public Radio. The Chamber Singers have appeared on CBS This Morning, the Today Show, and in their own prime time holiday special broadcast on WGME TV. The choir has performed at major venues including Carnegie Hall, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Notre Dame Basilica (Montreal) and the White House. The Chamber Singers have appeared in concert with artists including Kenny Rogers, Andy Williams, John Rutter, Josh Groban, Jodi Benson, Susan Egan, Noel Paul Stookey (Peter, Paul and Mary), Capathia Jenkins, Sutton Foster, Norm Lewis, Lakisha Jones, Rachel York and The Celtic Tenors. In December, 2012, they made their 3rd appearance at the Magic of Christmas concerts with the Portland Symphony Orchestra. In June, 2013, they celebrated the 25th anniversary of the choir with a 3-day reunion that welcomed back over 150 alumni from the group. That same weekend saw the release of the commemorative CD that included previously unreleased recordings from the past 25 years.

In December, 2014, they released their 4th studio album, in collaboration with Pine Point Records, Holiday Snapshot. Each year the choir tours the Northeast, presenting assemblies and workshops at area schools in addition to public concerts.

York High School Chamber Singers and Treble Choir

Rob Westerberg is Choral Director at York High School in York, Maine and Director of the Portland Community Chorus. He is past President of the Maine Music Educators Association, Vermont Music Educators Association and the Vermont Choral Directors Association. He is also co-founder of the Maine Arts Leadership Initiative. Westerberg was awarded the inaugural Carol Trimble Award for Exemplary Service to Arts Education by the Maine Department of Education, and has received Maine ACDA’s Distinguished Choral Director Award. Mr. Westerberg has guest conducted over fifty honors choirs throughout New England, and is a frequent speaker, advisor and clinician.

York High School continues to be the only secondary school in northern New England to require a mandatory semester of music for students to receive a diploma. The York High School Chamber Singers and Treble Choir are the honors choirs open to students by audition. These ensembles have been selected to perform for many regional and state events, including for the Maine Principal’s Association state conference and the Maine Music Educator’s In-Service Conference. This is their third appearance on stage at Carnegie Hall.

The Portland Community Chorus has a heritage dating back to the 1950s and 1960s, when it performed with the Portland Symphony Orchestra. The group was incorporated as a non-profit organization in the early 1980s. The group has expanded steadily over the last 20 years, and now consists of over 150 singers as annual members. Besides its annual concert schedule, the PCC serves as the core group for the Portland Symphony Orchestra's Magic of Christmas Chorus, a Maine tradition since 1980. PCC presents musical programs to area nursing, assisted-living and group homes in an active Outreach program.
