Cantata Singers music director since 1996, Will Wickham has been involved in music for more than 5 decades. In addition to choral directing, Wickham is a composer, a piano technician, and an adjunct professor of music at Corning Community College in upstate New York. A graduate of the music program of the State University of New York at Fredonia, Wickham has worked as music director for many choral and theater organizations since the 1980's and has composed music for solo voice, choir, band, and orchestra including music for film and theater.

The Cantata Singers, of the southern Finger Lakes Region of upstate New York, have been providing three free concerts every year since being founded in 1964. Repertoire has included music from the Renaissance through last year, including many of the great choral standards as well as several commissioned works. Volunteer singers raise money from grants, dues, and other fund raising activities to purchase music and hire soloists and instrumental accompaniment. Highlights of our history include founding a month-long Festival of Women in the Arts and an Elmira, NY performance of Haydn’s “The Creation” led by Robert Shaw.
 

Musical director of the City of Birmingham Choir since 2002 Adrian was also organist at Worcester Cathedral and Artistic Director to the Worcester Three Choirs Festival. In 2012, he was involved with developing the Cultural Olympiad of the 2012 London games.  As a conductor, Adrian has an impressive list of works to his name, notably Elgar, Vaughan Williams and Finzi. Since 2011 he has worked as a conductor, choral director and organist as well as developing his own recording business. He is head of Choral Studies for the Royal School of Church Music and Chairman of the British Music Society.

The City of Birmingham Choir was founded in 1921, and enjoys a musical partnership with the City’s internationally famous orchestra, the CBSO, at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall where in 2002 they took part in the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Concert. The choir’s repertoire includes most of the major choral works, and they recently combined with the CBSO for centenary performances of Elgar’s The Dream of Gerontius, The Apostles and The Kingdom. In spring 2015 the choir was on tour in Paris, singing mass at Notre Dame and in 2017 the choir will be visiting Vienna, performing Handel’s Messiah at the Stephansdom Cathedral.    

Cefin trained at Trinity College, Carmarthen and at the Cardiff Welsh College of Music and Drama. He was a professional actor for 15 years with the Welsh Theatre Company, the BBC and HTV. In 1990, with his wife, Rhian, he established Ysgol Glanaethwy performing arts' school in Bangor, North Wales. In 2003 he was appointed the first artistic director of the newly established Welsh National Theatre Company. Also in 2003 he won the Drama Medal at the Welsh National Eisteddfod, and the following year won the Prose Medal for his first novel, 'Brwydr y Bradwr'. Cefin is also the Musical director of the Welsh Gorsedd of Bards.  

Since it was established in 1990 Côr Glanaethwy have won many awards at the BBC Choir of the Year and the Music For Youth Festivals in London. They have performed at the BBC Proms at the Albert Hall and have toured extensively to Italy, Belgium, Ukraine, Hungary, Bulgaria, Argentina, England, Scotland, Ireland and Switzerland. In 2008 they were runners up on the BBC 'Last Choir Standing' series and came third on Britain's Got Talent in 2015. In 2010 they won two gold medals and one silver at the World Choir Games in Shaoxing, China. And in 2016 they won the Open Category at the Llangollen International Eisteddfod. They have recently released their fifth album.                                

Stephen Brockman has been the Musical Director of The Gisborne Singers since 2008. Stephen began his musical career as a flautist, studying at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. He played with the NSW Police Military Band and the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra before being appointed Principal Flute with the Queensland Philharmonic Orchestra. In 1990 he pursued an international career with a move to Asia. He moved into conducting when he was appointed Musical Director of the Hong Kong Singers. He was also a member of the Lugard Wind Quintet and played Principal Flute in the Hong Kong Chamber Orchestra.                

The Gisborne Singers is the premier choir in the Macedon Ranges region of Victoria, Australia. From its origins as a small madrigal group in 1980, the choir now has 60 accomplished singers who perform popular and challenging choral works. In recent years the repertoire has included Handel's Messiah, Rossini's Petit Messe Solonelle and Karl Jenkin's The Armed Man. As well as their bi-annual major performances the choir is regularly invited to perform at community celebrations, civic events and local schools and they perform an annual cabaret which highlights the diverse musical talents of the choristers.                
        

Chris Lukies retired in 2012 after 38 years as Head of Music at Nayland College in Nelson, New Zealand. In addition to the teaching programme he was the creative force behind 21 major musical theatre productions at the College. In the wider community he has been extensively involved in the musical direction of brass and jazz bands as well as musical theatre including Lés Miserables, Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar, Chess and Buddy Holly.  As guest conductor of the Nelson Civic Choir his highlights have been directing ‘The Creation’,  Karl Jenkins’ ‘The Armed Man’ and recently his ‘Stabat Mater’.

Nelson Civic Choir (NZ) is a non-audition community based choir dating back more than 100 years. Our aim is to provide high quality performances of major classical choral works as well as many less known works.These concerts, in conjunction with orchestral or other accompaniment, add greatly to Nelson’s rich cultural tradition. Our recent performances include Karl Jenkins’ The Armed Man – with full orchestra and video - and his Stabat Mater, both of which achieved public acclaim. A recent welcome development has been the participation of younger singers who have subsequently gone on to further their studies in music.     

“Sing with a smile on your face and love in your heart.” This is the mantra of Frank DeMiero, visionary conductor and artistic director of the 100-voice, multigenerational Sno-King Community Chorale, now in its 17th year.  Frank founded the Edmonds Community College Music Department, taught at the University of Washington and Seattle Pacific University, retiring in 1998 as Supervisor of Music for Edmonds School District. He founded the DeMiero Jazz Camp and DeMiero Jazz Festival, and is the recipient of many honors, including the Washington State American Choral Directors Leadership and Service Award. He is an original inductee into the Washington Music Educators Hall of Fame.

This all-volunteer, nonaudition chorale has shared the joy of music with local, regional and global audiences from the pride of our community—Edmonds Center for the Arts— to Seattle’s Benaroya Hall, Carnegie Hall, and several European engagements. Its vast repertoire ranges from classical to gospel to Broadway show tunes. Whether performing at a community celebration, memorial service, or in a concert hall, a shared commitment to uplift public spirit through inspired choral performance is ever-present as is a dedication to uplift fellow-singers in their musical endeavors.

Scott M. Hyslop’s educational background includes the DMA in Organ/Church Music at The University of Michigan, a Master’s Degree in Church Music from Concordia University - River Forest, IL, and a Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls. In addition to his formal studies, he studied with Paul Manz through the Paul Manz Institute of Church Music in Chicago. He has also had additional study with Maurice Clerc at the Cathedral of St. Bénigne in Dijon, France. As a composer, Hyslop studied with Conrad DeJong, Richard Hillert, James Aikman, and is a Melodious Accord Fellow, having studied choral composition with the noted American composer Alice Parker.  Dr. Hyslop presently serves as the Director of Parish Music at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church in Frankenmuth, MI.
                
The Middle School Choir at St. Lorenz Lutheran School in Frankenmuth, Michigan is made up of ninety students in grades six through eight. these students are educated in proper singing technique while singing a large cross section of choral litertaure from all eras. Most recently this group has been the featured choir at the national convocation of the Lutheran Education Association and collaborated in a performance of Benjamin Brittens Noyes Fludde with members of the Ann Arbor Boy Choir and the Saginaw Bay Youth Orchestra in honor of the composers one-hundredth birthday.                

Silvia Koski graduated from the Sibelius Academy, Helsinki as Master of Music. She has built a multifaceted career as a church musician, choir director, singer, teacher, pianist, violinist and composer. This energetic and charismatic choir director founded Aboa Gospel on her 31st birthday in January 2011 when she took up her new post as church musician in St Michael´s church in Turku. During her career Silvia has led many choirs and has recorded few albums as director and featured as sopranp soloist. Silvia wants to explore different music styles from classical to pop.

The repertoire of Aboa Gospel Choir of St Michael´s church in Turku, Finland features both classical music and modern African-American gospel music. The choir indulges in a wide variety of projects with different musical styles and powerful themes such as the masterpieces of Sir Karl Jenkins. The choir was established and is directed by Silvia Koski. The choir has 60 members who perform and present concerts throughout the year such as the charity concerts for the Children´s Clinic of the local University Hospital. The choir has spread God´s praises and sung with several renowned artists and performed on national television in programmes such as Voice of Finland.

Carlo Etxeberria studied at the “Conservatorio Municipal” in Tafalla, "Pablo Sarasate" in Pamplona and “Superior” in San Sebastián; studied with Agustín González , Luis de Pablo, (Composition); Miguel Amantegui; Javier Busto and Juanjo Mena (Choir Conducting) and Jacques Bodmer (Orchestral Conducting). 
He received numerous composition awards and assignments. Carlos has directed the Youth Orchestra Pablo Sarasate, Coral Tubala-Uxoa and Coro Lirico of Navarra of which he is the founder, the "Amalur Chamber Orchestra". Since 2001 he has been the Director of Choir In Tempore Abesbatza (Coral San José Abesbatza).He is also current Director of the Conservatory "Pablo Sarasate" in Pamplona.

Coral San José Abesbatza was founded in 1955 and directed since 2001 by Carlos Etxeberria who has incorporated into their repertoire contemporary composers like R. Halfter, Morten Lauridsen, J. Busto, Aita Donosti, F. Mompou, G. Fauré, Ola Gjeilo, Bob Chilcott, and Karl Jenkins, among others, thus developing their new label, "Coro In Tempore Abesbatza".They have performed hundreds of concerts in Pamplona and Navarre and participated in musical weeks held throughout Spain and southern France. They have participated in 20 editions of the "International Choir Music Day" held in Barcelona and have recorded numerous pieces.
 

Irina Schneider, a native of Estonia, is graduate of the Estonian State Music Academy as choir conductor and pianist. She postgraduated at Moscow P.I.Tschaikowsky Conservatory in musicology. She is currently cantor director at the Protestant Thomaskirche in Düsseldorf, Germany, where she conducts several choirs with regular concert activities. Her main interests are contemporary composers who link religious issues with modern music art and to rediscover ancient unknown or forgotten composers. Recently she perfomed the Matthew Passion by Ilarion Alveyev and the Requiem by the japanese composer Susumo Ueda.

The church choir of the Protestant Thomaskirche in Düsseldorf, Germany, is a cooperation of different parish based choirs. It dates back to the 60s of the last century. The aim of the choir is to provide high quality performances of modern classical and old church music as well as the joy of singing and performing amongst different generations. Our recent performances include the Christmas Oratorio by J.Gebel and A Little Jazz Mass by Bob Chilcott. 

Frank Hagelstange was born in 1963. He studied music in  Frankfurt/Main and teaches music and religious education in Hanau. He 
has been conducting the choir at the KRS since 2010, where he staged the musical plays “Fiddler on the Roof” and “Oliver” as well as the comic 
opera “La belle Hélène” by Jacques Offenbach. He also sings tenor solo  passages in oratories and interpreted song cycles such as Schubert’s “Winterreise”.

KRS is an academic high school. Emphasizing on musical education, there are some excellent instrumental ensembles – symphonic orchestra, brass orchestra and big band – as well as a choir. The choir consists of pupils, teachers, parents and alumni. Beside Karl Jenkin’s “Requiem”, the choir also performed pieces such as Henry Purcell’s “Dido and Aeneas”, Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s “Jesus Christ Superstar”, cantatas by Johann Sebastian Bach and Igor Stravinsky’s “Symphony of Psalms”.

After graduating from the Academy for School- and Sacral Music in Lucerne he was a choir conductor of a number of choirs (amongst others Aargauer Lerche of Engandiner Kantorei) and founded the Singing School Oberwallis, where he was a teacher for choir conducting. In addition he was a guest conductor with different choirs (e.g. Swiss Youth Choir) and headed the Choir Weeks in Switzerland and abroad (Autumn Singing Week Laudinella in St.Moritz, Mozart Week in Herzberg, International Europe Cantata Meeting Nevres). Many postgraduate studies in orchestra conducting and master courses followed – with Kirk Trevor and Laszlo Heltay amongst others.  He also conducted Czech Orchestras (i.e. Bohuslav-Martinu Philharmonic Zlin and Berg Orchestra Prag) and American Orchestras (Boulder Symphonie Orchestra, Astoria Symphonie Orchester New York).

Celebrating its 125 Year Anniversary this year, the Kirchenchor Walchwil belongs to one of the best of its kind in the Canton of Zug in Switzerland.  This Choir was featured in Swiss mass media and national T.V. Channel SRF 1– dubbed United Nations of Walchwil, thanks to the fact that next to the Swiss natives there are singers from 14 nations well integrated in Swiss society and culture in the choir.  Our choir actively takes part in the community life, being an annual highlight of Easter and Christmas celebrations.

Musical Director, Tom Buchanan is a well-known and highly regarded Melbourne based choral conductor, currently directing the Australian Welsh Male Choir, Excelsis and the Mornington Peninsula Chorale. He is an experienced and award winning concert pianist, chamber musician and accompanist. Tom has given performances around Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, the Philippines, England, Wales and Ireland. Tom teaches piano at some of Melbourne’s most prestigious schools, privately at his home studio, and is also a published choral composer and arranger. Tom has been directing the Mornington Peninsula Chorale since 2009 and is very proud of the significant growth and development the choir has seen during this time. 

The 100 member SABT Mornington Peninsula Chorale perform three major works each yea; an Oratorio accompanied by well-known Australian soloists and a full orchestra, an Afternoon at the Proms and a Christmas concert accompanied by piano and strings. The aim of the musicians is to always pursue choral excellence through continuous development and improvement of their musical and vocal skills and to broaden public interest and appreciation of traditional and contemporary choral music. Recent performances include Mozart’s Requiem, Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Karl Jenkin’s Stabat Mater and The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace.  

Donald C. Morris, appointed Music Director in September 1996, began his involvement with the Newark Boys Chorus School in 1987 as a Science teacher and Associate Conductor of the Concert Chorus. He supervises the musical education and training of all the students at the school, and has prepared the Chorus for its tours of Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada, and four tours throughout Europe. Mr. Morris has a M.A. in Music Education from Hunter College, a B.Sc. in Zoology and Chemistry from the University of the West Indies, and a L.R.S.M. in piano performance.

The Newark Boys Chorus School was established to create an integrated academic and music program unique to the city of Newark, New Jersey. The school’s mission is to inspire in the students a love for learning, a quest for excellence, and a compassion for humanity. Known as Newark’s “Musical Ambassadors,” the Newark Boys Chorus has been heard throughout the world with a diversified repertoire, -traditional classical music through jazz. Few Chorus School graduates become professional musicians, but the training and experience they receive demand discipline and poise while providing the self-esteem that these young men carry with them through life. 

Founding and Artistic Director of The Children’s Chorus of Sussex County, Deborah Mello is the recipient of the Master Teacher Award from the New Jersey Music Educators Association, The New Jersey Governor’s Award for Arts in Education, the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra Master Teacher Collaborative Award, and the Distinguished Music Educator Award from Yale University. She is former National Chair of the American Choral Director’s Association National Committee on Children & Youth Choirs. Deborah is a member of the choral music education faculty at the John J. Cali School of Music at Montclair State University, New Jersey.

Founded in the fall of 1990, the Children's Chorus of Sussex County has provided an opportunity for children who reside in northwest New Jersey and Pennsylvania to join together in the choral art. Known for their dedication, teamwork, and artistic excellence, the children pursue an ambitious schedule. The choir has been invited to perform at Carnegie Hall, The White House, Prague's Smetana Hall, the Candelaria Church, Rio de Janeiro, and the Vatican. On tour in The Netherlands, Belgium and France, CCSC was invited by the American Ambassador to Belgium to perform for the July 4th Celebration at the American Embassy in Brussels.
