Dr. Diane Orlofsky is Professor of Music and Director of Choirs at Troy University. Orlofsky was named the 2016 Lacey Powell Outstanding Music Educator by the Alabama Music Education Association and was the 2014 recipient of the Wallace D. Malone Distinguished Faculty award which recognizes scholarship, teaching, leadership and service. She is the recipient of the Ingalls Award for Excellence in Classroom Teaching, the Phi Kappa Phi Distinguished Scholar award, the A.A.T.E. Outstanding Teacher Educator Award, and was named an American Fellow by the American Association of University Women. Orlofsky is active as a clinician, conductor, adjudicator, and author. Her primary creative and research interests include the application of the theories of Jerome Bruner to instructional best practices and co-creative arts education. 

The Troy University Concert Chorale is one of the premier vocal ensembles in the John M. Long School of Music at Troy University. This 37-voice mixed chamber choir performs challenging classical, traditional, and contemporary choral repertoire and membership is open only by audition. The corporate music making experiences in Concert Chorale are designed to provide quality performing experiences for students of all academic majors utilizing excellent repertoire from a wide variety of historical and cultural styles.

J Reese Norris (b.1973) is director of choirs at Hernando Middle School and is co-founder, co-artistic director of CoroRio, both in Northwest Mississippi. Reese received degrees from Delta State University and Florida State University, and in 2005 was named Delta State University Music Alumnus of the year. Mr. Norris was the 2017 recipient of MMEA's Music Educator of the Year, the Ernestine Ferrell Lifetime Achievement Award given by the Mississippi Chapter of ACDA and the Delta State University Educator of the Year Award. Reese has served in several leadership capacities for state-level NAfME and ACDA, and at the division level for ACDA. Choirs under his direction have performed in Carnegie Hall, at the National Conference for Middle School Choirs, twice for Mississippi ACDA's State Conference, twice for ACDA's Southern Division Conference, and are slated to perform at the 2018 OAKE National Conference in Oklahoma City. Reese has been honored to serve as guest clinician and presenter across the Eastern US . His compositions and arrangements are published by Lawson-Gould, Santa Barbara, Colla Voce, G. Schirmer and MusicSpoke.

Hernando Middle School Girls Choir is the top treble ensemble of Hernando Middle School, a moderately-sized public school located in Northwest Mississippi - just 30 minutes south of Memphis, TN. They have performed all over the Eastern US, including in Carnegie Hall, twice at the Mississippi ACDA/MMEA State Conference, twice at the ACDA Southern Division Conference, at the National Conference for Middle School Choirs and at the OAKE National Conference.

Marina Alexander conducts the Arcadian Chorale (NJ) and Richmond Choral Society (NYC) Noted for her scholarship and innovative programming, she has resurrected rarely heard masterpieces and presented US or NY area premieres of many works, including her own compositions. In 2002, Ms. Alexander made her Carnegie Hall debut with the Dvorak Te Deum, and has appeared as Guest Conductor many NY area orchestras. She is Adjunct Assistant Professor at the College of Staten Island-CUNY, teaching Conducting, Vocal Performance, and Music History, and often appears as a clinician at choral workshops and music festivals. Marina is also the president of the NJ Choral Consortium.

Richmond Choral Society was founded in 1951 for the purpose of providing the Staten Island community with the understanding and appreciation of the classical and contemporary choral repertory in the regular performance of masterpieces and lesser-known works of famous composers. Since its inception, RCS has enjoyed a changing roster of volunteer choristers representing every profession, religion, ethnicity and age group. Exploring new repertory for its two concerts per year in a variety of settings across Staten Island, Manhattan–including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center–and New Jersey, collaborating with other community organizations, RCS has continued to grow, evolve, and excel.

Founded in 1992, The Arcadian Chorale is celebrating 25 years of bringing high-quality performances to the greater Monmouth County, NJ area. The all-volunteer ensemble of 70 singers has presented a wide range of repertory, singing everything from small-scale gems, international selections in at least 20 different languages, masterworks, and countless premieres of new music. The ensemble has appeared at many major NY area venues, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, NJPAC, Symphony Space, NYU Skirball Center, Tribeca PAC, and Count Basie Theater. It also undertakes a very active program of educational outreach.

Barnum is currently the Director of Choral Music at the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh. He holds a DMA in Choral Conducting from the University of Washington, under the direction of Dr. Geoffrey Boers. He has an advanced degree in conducting from Minnesota State University, primary study with Dr. David Dickau, as well as BAs in Composition and Vocal Performance from Bemidji State University. He frequently appears as a guest conductor across the United States and aboad, and has had the opportunity to collaborate with some of the most innovative minds in the choral field. He has also been an invited speaker to state and national choral conventions.

The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Chamber Singers is an advanced, mixed auditioned choir, comprised primarily of students majoring in music at UWO. They perform frequently throughout the northeast Wisconsin area, focusing on eclectic, challenging choral repertoire of all styles and genres.

Dr. Cherry Dunn is the Founder and Artistic Director of the Columbus Girlchoir. She is Assistant Professor of Music at Mississippi University for Women. Dr. Dunn holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Mississippi University for Women and the Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Alabama.

Founded in 2004 with 12 singers, the Columbus Girlchoir consists of two choirs with 55 singers from 4th through 12th grade. The Girlchoir has been a featured choir at the Crescent City Choral Festival in New Orleans and also at the Choral Music Experience at Elon University. The Girlchoir appeared in concert in Carnegie Hall with Director Cheryl Dupont in 2013. The Columbus Girlchoir celebrated their 10th anniversary by commissioning composer J. D. Frizzell to write "Miracles" with poetry by Elizabeth B. Rooney. The choir performs two concerts a year along with many appearances at churches, civic groups, arts organizations and schools.

Joelle Norris graduated summa cum laude with a BME from Roberts Wesleyan College and a MME from Florida State University and directed high school choirs for 8 years before co-founding CoroRio in 2012. While teaching in the public school system, Mrs. Norris’ choirs were invited to sing at the 2008 Mississippi ACDA/MMEA State convention and the 2010 ACDA Southern Division Convention. Also in 2010, she was honored as a Mississippi STAR teacher. She currently serves as Executive and Co-Artistic Director for CoroRio and conducts two of the six choirs. She was a contributing author for a recently published book, Conducting Women’s Choirs: Strategies for Success, and also enjoys serving as a clinician, adjudicator and presenter across the Southeast.

CoroRio is an educationally based choral ensemble program designed to serve students ages 8-18 in the greater Memphis and North Mississippi region who desire musical enrichment. Participants learn healthy vocal technique, sight-reading, and music theory while experiencing performance excellence. The learning environment is creative, explorative, and fun. The students form lasting relationships with others outside of their community and develop a lifelong appreciation of music.

Daisy Li Emans is a graduate of Central Washington University, where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education. At CWU, Daisy studied piano with Dr. John Pickett and voice with Vijay Singh. Daisy received her Master’s in Music degree from the University of Washington, where she studied conducting with Dr. Geoffrey Boers and jazz piano with Marc Seales. While at UW, Daisy was the assistant conductor to the UW Men’s Glee Club and was a member of the University of Washington Chamber Singers. Daisy founded the music program at the charter magnet school in the South Bronx known as the Bronx Studio School for Writers and Artists. Her work there with the middle school students established a strong tradition of community, music education and appreciation in one of the most underserved counties in the country. Daisy is currently the Director of Choirs at the Grammy Award-winning Kentwood High School, where her students have been selected to participate in All-State, All-Northwest, and ACDA, and have been regional and state winners at Solo/Ensemble contest. Daisy’s passion and dedication to inspiring children of all ages has been a prominent part of her and her family’s life. She currently resides in Seattle with her husband Joel and her two children, Izaura and Leo.

Concert Choir is an ensemble made up of intermediate to advanced musicians. This group tours annually and has had the privilege of commissioning and premiering works of various composers. Students on tour have had the opportunity to clinic with college professors and the members of Kentwood Choir have had the honor of being the performing group at Wreaths Across America, honoring our fallen Veterans during the holiday season. This Grammy award winning choir program holds an annual Madrigal Dinner, a community tradition in it's 23rd year of existence. In addition to their performance schedule, students spend time developing advanced music reading and comprehension skills, as well as refining their vocal technique and their ability to sing expressively.

Tammy Carney received her Bachelor of Music Education in 1988 from the University of Mississippi. She is the Director of Choral Music at Petal Middle School where she conducts Chanticleer Women’s choir, Chevalier Men’s Choir, and the Spark Show Choir. Over the past 22 years, her choirs and ensembles have been recognized with numerous awards and have performed at the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Grand Ole Opry. At Clinton Junior High in Clinton, MS, Tammy was selected as Teacher of the Year 2o12. In 2016, she was honored with the ACDA Ernestine Ferrell Award for Choral Excellence and the Mississippi Music Educator of the Year Award. Petal Middle School selected Mrs. Maxie as 2017 Teacher of the Year. An active church musician and clinician conducting honor choirs in Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi, Tammy has three sons, Durham, Denton, and Tanner.

The Chanticleer Women's Choir is an auditioned group of 7th and 8th grade women from the Petal Middle School Choral Department. Chanticleer has been under the direction of Tammy Carney since 2013. The Petal Middle School Choral program has a rich tradition of choral excellence providing musical opportunities for young people in the community. Chanticleer has represented Petal Middle School well in local concerts as well as adjudicated festivals throughout the south.

Eli Jones is in his seventh year as vocal music teacher at Eisenhower Middle School in Kansas City, Kansas. At Eisenhower, he teaches six choir classes, directs an annual musical theatre production, and coaches soccer. Eli is also the founding director of Voices of Change Youth Choirs, an all-city choir program for Kansas City metro students, grades 7-12. He graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Baker University. Eli currently performs with KC VITAs Chamber Choir and serves as the tenor section leader at Community Christian Church in Kansas City, Missouri.

Eisenhower Middle School in Kansas City, Kansas is home to a vibrant and active music department, with nearly 500 students performing in two bands, two orchestras, and three choirs. Eisenhower's women's choir is a non-auditioned ensemble of over ninety 7th and 8th grade young women. The ensemble performs a diverse musical repertoire at concerts, festivals, and school district and community events throughout the year.
