The Troy University Concert Chorale is one of the premier vocal ensembles in the John M. Long School of Music at Troy University. This 37-voice mixed chamber choir performs challenging classical, traditional, and contemporary choral repertoire and membership is open only by audition. The corporate music making experiences in Concert Chorale are designed to provide quality performing experiences for students of all academic majors utilizing excellent repertoire from a wide variety of historical and cultural styles.
Hernando Middle School Girls Choir is the top treble ensemble of Hernando Middle School, a moderately-sized public school located in Northwest Mississippi - just 30 minutes south of Memphis, TN. They have performed all over the Eastern US, including in Carnegie Hall, twice at the Mississippi ACDA/MMEA State Conference, twice at the ACDA Southern Division Conference, at the National Conference for Middle School Choirs and at the OAKE National Conference.
Richmond Choral Society was founded in 1951 for the purpose of providing the Staten Island community with the understanding and appreciation of the classical and contemporary choral repertory in the regular performance of masterpieces and lesser-known works of famous composers. Since its inception, RCS has enjoyed a changing roster of volunteer choristers representing every profession, religion, ethnicity and age group. Exploring new repertory for its two concerts per year in a variety of settings across Staten Island, Manhattan–including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center–and New Jersey, collaborating with other community organizations, RCS has continued to grow, evolve, and excel.
Founded in 1992, The Arcadian Chorale is celebrating 25 years of bringing high-quality performances to the greater Monmouth County, NJ area. The all-volunteer ensemble of 70 singers has presented a wide range of repertory, singing everything from small-scale gems, international selections in at least 20 different languages, masterworks, and countless premieres of new music. The ensemble has appeared at many major NY area venues, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, NJPAC, Symphony Space, NYU Skirball Center, Tribeca PAC, and Count Basie Theater. It also undertakes a very active program of educational outreach.
The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Chamber Singers is an advanced, mixed auditioned choir, comprised primarily of students majoring in music at UWO. They perform frequently throughout the northeast Wisconsin area, focusing on eclectic, challenging choral repertoire of all styles and genres.
Founded in 2004 with 12 singers, the Columbus Girlchoir consists of two choirs with 55 singers from 4th through 12th grade. The Girlchoir has been a featured choir at the Crescent City Choral Festival in New Orleans and also at the Choral Music Experience at Elon University. The Girlchoir appeared in concert in Carnegie Hall with Director Cheryl Dupont in 2013. The Columbus Girlchoir celebrated their 10th anniversary by commissioning composer J. D. Frizzell to write "Miracles" with poetry by Elizabeth B. Rooney. The choir performs two concerts a year along with many appearances at churches, civic groups, arts organizations and schools.
CoroRio is an educationally based choral ensemble program designed to serve students ages 8-18 in the greater Memphis and North Mississippi region who desire musical enrichment. Participants learn healthy vocal technique, sight-reading, and music theory while experiencing performance excellence. The learning environment is creative, explorative, and fun. The students form lasting relationships with others outside of their community and develop a lifelong appreciation of music.
Concert Choir is an ensemble made up of intermediate to advanced musicians. This group tours annually and has had the privilege of commissioning and premiering works of various composers. Students on tour have had the opportunity to clinic with college professors and the members of Kentwood Choir have had the honor of being the performing group at Wreaths Across America, honoring our fallen Veterans during the holiday season. This Grammy award winning choir program holds an annual Madrigal Dinner, a community tradition in it's 23rd year of existence. In addition to their performance schedule, students spend time developing advanced music reading and comprehension skills, as well as refining their vocal technique and their ability to sing expressively.
The Chanticleer Women's Choir is an auditioned group of 7th and 8th grade women from the Petal Middle School Choral Department. Chanticleer has been under the direction of Tammy Carney since 2013. The Petal Middle School Choral program has a rich tradition of choral excellence providing musical opportunities for young people in the community. Chanticleer has represented Petal Middle School well in local concerts as well as adjudicated festivals throughout the south.
Eisenhower Middle School in Kansas City, Kansas is home to a vibrant and active music department, with nearly 500 students performing in two bands, two orchestras, and three choirs. Eisenhower's women's choir is a non-auditioned ensemble of over ninety 7th and 8th grade young women. The ensemble performs a diverse musical repertoire at concerts, festivals, and school district and community events throughout the year.
