The Opportunity
We’re seeking a creative powerhouse who thrives at the intersection of design, marketing, and live performance. Someone who understands that every ticket sold, every design created, and every campaign launched contributes to transformative moments at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center.
This is an in-office, full-time position in New York City. We need someone physically present, engaged with our team, and ready to jump into action from when our performers arrive to concert day.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Drive performer interest, ticket sales and achieve capacity goals for DCINY performances through group sales coordination and innovative marketing strategies
- Design and execute all marketing materials including advertisements, email campaigns (Salesforce/Constant Contact), website updates, and social media content targeted at performers and audiences
- Coordinate ticket manifests internally and with venues, optimize audience placements, and fulfill visiting artists’ ticket requests
- Maintain and update the DCINY website using WordPress
- Research dynamic strategies and new ways to expand the DCINY brand
- Manage online event listings, social media presence, and post-concert reporting
- Support special projects including video production, concert concepts, ticket manifest coordination, and audience placement optimization
- Handle occasional errands including ticket pickup and venue coordination
What You Bring
- Required Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, marketing, or equivalent experience
- 2-3+ years in design, marketing, or related field (agency or fast-paced environment preferred)
- Expert-level Adobe Creative Suite proficiency
- Strong HTML and CSS knowledge; JavaScript a plus
- WordPress CMS experience (site maintenance, page editing, content uploads)
- Knowledge of social media platforms, web analytics, and UX principles
- Salesforce or similar CRM experience preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills (Word, Excel)
- Video editing skills preferred

The Opportunity
Are you passionate about classical music—especially choral music—with a natural curiosity and talent for connecting with people? We’re seeking a bright, enthusiastic Development Assistant to join our Program Development team in this entry-level role that offers genuine growth potential within our organization.
This position is perfect for someone who loves music and wants to build a career at the intersection of artistry and business. You’ll work directly with choirs, orchestras, and conductors while developing valuable sales and relationship-building skills in the vibrant world of classical music production.
What You’ll Do
Development/Sales:
- Research and find new leads to participate in our concert season
- Reach out to potential leads through calls and emails to drive interest and provide information about our performance opportunities
- Maintain contact with both potential leads and current clients through scheduled follow-ups
Administrative Support:
- Provide exceptional customer support through phone and email communications
- Creating surveys of new performance opportunities for our website
- Data entry in Salesforce, including but not limited to: updating contact information through research of past, current, and new leads, tracking progress of leads to inform concert development and sales goals, logging calls and emails, comparing research to existing database of clients
- Supporting development staff’s target sales goals (i.e. finding leads for specific concert offerings, scheduling calls with them and potential clients, etc.)
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Business, Arts Administration, or related field
- Genuine passion for classical music and live performance (choral music knowledge a plus!)
- Strong communication skills and natural curiosity about people and music
- Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Collaborative spirit and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred:
- 1-2 years’ experience in sales, customer service, hospitality, or arts administration
- Salesforce experience
- Multilingual abilities
