DCINY is seeking a full-time Sales, Program Developer. We’re looking to meet a talented individual who is dynamic and outgoing with a driving passion for music who can thrive in a client-facing sales role. A strong musical background is a must (preferably as an area of study at the university level), with previous sales experience highly preferred. Strengths and skills in research and administration would be a plus. The Program Developer is integral in the structure and growth of DCINY and will contact performing groups (both choral and instrumental) for possible inclusion on DCINY’s Concert Series. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for selling DCINY performance opportunities to global clientele through client research, phone correspondence, and general written communications.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information and contact history in Salesforce CRM
- Development of future programming for the series, including liaison with ensembles, performing artists, and guest conductors by phone, email and in person.
- Provide basic information to clients and staff regarding concert season and various aspects of the company.
COMPETENCIES and QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, the individual selected should have:
- Bachelor/Advanced Degree in music or music administration or related discipline.
- 1-2+ years of related work experience with sales preferred.
- Superior communication, interpersonal, organizational, and listening skills. Ability to successfully multi-task and excel in a fast-paced environment and be attentive and precise in details.
- High level attention to detail and organizational capacity.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with strong time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce, with a willingness to learn additional programs.
- Ability to manage phone and in-person inquiries in a professional, patient, and friendly manner.
- Interest and background in classical music and concert production.
